Amazon Birdfauna in situ Course

T Amazon birdfauna is one of the most exciting among the bird communities in the Neotropics, but it requires some extra time in the field to know and understand them; habitat preferences, army ants specialist, monkey followers, leeking areas and others. At SRC there is more than 450 species that you can learn from. The goal of this four weeks unique Amazon Bird Fauna in situ Course is:

  1. To activeand use our born-in tools ( listen, smell, taste, whistle and touch ), that all of us have, when we were born.
  2. To spend as much time in the field and trying different recognizing techiques to the point that you can identify families, generas, and species do by yoursel. and been able to make your personal birdlist recognized by yourself.
  3. To learn amazonian bird behaviour and natural history.
  4. To help and support ecuadorean biology students in the forest finding critical observations.
  5. To find bird nest for video recording of their nesting behaviour and predation.
  6. To develop your personal small research project and share your findings to your companions.
